World Patent Marketing has made headlines recently as a fraudulent company where the new acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker was on its advisory board. The Federal Trade Commission forced the “scam” company to shut down last year, and all of the company’s videos were deleted from YouTube. But I grabbed the videos in 2017 before they were taken offline. And for the sake of history, I’ve re-uploaded them to YouTube.
The videos cover everything from a segment about Matthew Whitaker joining World Patent Marketing’s advisory board to a promotional video featuring photos and quotes from Donald Trump. The video was reportedly made before Trump was president and he supposedly had no idea about it.
The second video features a familiar face. Yes, that’s Donald Trump with “8 Lessons Entrepreneurs Learn From Donald Trump.” According to the Wall Street Journal, people in Trumpland claim that the president had no idea his name and image were being used in promotional videos for the company. But who knows? Trump and his cronies aren’t exactly known for telling the truth. A copy of the video still exists on the video platform Dailymotion.
The next video is a promotional video with plenty of stock video footage, sweeping music, and bold claims.
The last video is a rundown of the advisory board at World Patent Marketing. It’s not clear exactly how involved each of the members might have been with the operation of the company before it was shut down by the FTC.
